Iberian Publishing Company's On-Line Catalog: Independent City of Falls Church
Located in Fairfax County, this municipality was named for the Anglican church erected on the site about 1769. The "Little Falls" of the Potomac are nearby. The community itself was not established until 1850 and it was another quarter century, in 1875, when it was first incorporated as a town. Falls Church became a city by court order in 1948.
Falls Church's municipal records date from 1988. For earlier court records, see Fairfax County.
