Iberian Publishing Company's 2020 On-Line Catalog: Independent City of Danville
Located in Pittsylvania County and named for the Dan River which flows through the town. The town was founded in 1793, incorporated as a town in 1830, and it became a city in 1890. The town of North Danville (Neapolis) was added to Danville in 1896.
